Travels

Here is a list of the places we have visited this year. It is amazing how much cheaper it is to travel within Europe. We figured we should do as many places as we can while we’re here.

Scotland

Edinburgh

Me on Craighouse Gardens

This is where we currently live. We love it here, it’s a totally walk-able city (which is really helpful when you don’t have a car). My aunt lives a 5 minute walk from our flat, giving us the ability to do things that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to.

Stirling

Stirling Castle

We came to Stirling for a school project, in order to tour the castle. It was absolutely beautiful.

St. Andrews

St. A - Clubhouse

This is literally the perfect university town. You have a beautiful beach, only a short walk from campus. You have the quaintest town centre, complete with clothing stores, restaurants, and about 100 cafés. I would love to have gone to school here, as your school life really couldn’t be that bad if you can go to the beach in between classes. Read about our adventure here.

England

London

Outside Buckingham Palace

We had the best time in London. We only got to spend 4 days there, but we got to do so many things. We saw all the major sites – Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Eye, the Parliament Buildings, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Portobello Road Market, and so many other amazing places. We went to all the museums, and ate lunch in each of the major parks each day. Read all about it here.

To come:

  • Holland (Amsterdam, Winterswijk Wood)
  • Ireland (Dublin, Blarney Castle, Killarney, Dingle, Cliffs of Moher, Galway)
  • Belgium (Brussels, Bruges)
  • France (Paris, Normandy)
